About the event
Roop Sagar discovered his passion for poetry in his teens, inspired by the legendary lyricist Sudarshan Fakir.
A self-taught Urdu poet, he published his first collection Mausam Yaadon Ke in 2019 under Sabrang International.
His verses, often reflecting a Hindawi ideolect, have appeared in anthologies like Jahaan-E-Ghazal and Shabdon Ke Rang.
His poetry has been featured in acclaimed ghazal albums such as Ehbaab (2016), Aamad – The Arrival (2017), and Dastaan (2020).
Winner of the Best Ghazal Award at Artist Aloud Music Awards 2018, he continues to blend tradition with contemporary expression.
Rajinderjeet is a distinguished Punjabi poet known for his mastery of the ghazal form.
